Over a 10-year period, Wang Dong, an officer in People’s Liberation Army Unit 61398, invaded U.S. computers to probe for security weaknesses that could be used to wreak havoc, according to a May 2014 FBI indictment. The allegations led to angry counter-accusations from China, and it's likely that finger-pointing across the Pacific over cyberattacks will escalate.
