Howard Goldblatt

A soulmate to many contemporary Chinese novelists, Howard Goldblatt is the one of the most prolific English translators of Chinese contemporary fiction. He’s translated more than 50 books to date, and is still working at an astonishing rate at the ripe age of 75. Goldblatt introduced the works of 2012 Nobel laureate Mo Yan to the Western readers and has since served as his unofficial representative in the English-language publishing world.
